Position: Professional Engineer - Mechanical/Structural
Salary: DOQ

M&D is seeking a Mechanical or Civil Engineer with the following experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum B.S. degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related engineering discipline. Advanced degrees are welcomed, but not required.
  • A U.S.-recognized P.E. (Professional Engineer) license is required. Out of state licenses are acceptable if the applicant is prepared to transfer his/her license to Washington State.
  • Experience using the ANSYS Classical finite element code is required.
  • A strong background in stress and structural analysis is required.
  • Qualified applicants should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience applying a P.E. stamp to Mechanical or Civil calculations and drawings.
  • Experience with seismic analysis.
  • Experience with Nuclear-industry ASME and ASCE engineering codes is preferred.
  • Experience with other FEA (Finite Element Analysis) codes.
  • Due to the sensitive nature of some of our projects, U.S. Citizenship is preferred.
