M&D STAFF

M&D's capable staff is ready to serve you:

Milon    George    Julie    Ken    Brian    Michael

Milon Meyer, President Milon Meyer, has over thirty-seven years of seasoned and diversified experience. He has a wide range of experience in solving engineering problems for operating nuclear power plants, turbomachinery, aircraft, and related structures using computerized or manual approaches. Working as a consultant, he has been assigned project responsibility requiring a variety of engineering structural, fluid-mechanical, and heat transfer solutions. Recently, Mr. Meyer assisted DOE's Office of Safety Regulation (OSR) within U.S. Dept of Energy Office of River Protection (ORP) to perform review of low-activity waste (LAW), high-level waste (HLW), and pretreatment waste (PT) facilities. Review required knowledge of Regulatory Criteria and verification that hazards were identifed, accidents analyzed, and applicable standards implemented. As an expert, Mr. Meyer has demonstrated technical experience interfacing with DOE, DOE/RL, DNFSB, and related DOE contractors.    milon (at) mdpsi.com   x231

F. George Abatt, Ph. D. George Abatt, Ph.D., has over twenty years engineering experience in the nuclear, aerospace, and aircraft industries. His experience includes the analysis of reinforced concrete waste tanks, seismic evaluation of structures and components in nuclear facilities and operating power plants, and soil-structure interaction analysis of nuclear facilities. He has performed hypothetical drop accident analyses for nuclear shipping containers and material handling systems in nuclear facilities. Dr. Abatt has extensive experience running ABAQUS and ANSYS finite element codes.    george (at) mdpsi.com   x238

Julie Dewberry, MSME Julie Dewberry, MSME, has Fifteen years engineering experience with transportation packaging safety analyses, structural design and analysis (static and dynamic), mechanical systems design, leading/supervising design staff (engineers/designers), and computer aided design software. Seven years experience in safety analysis reports for transportation packaging, applicable industrial codes and regulations. Three years design experience with the vitrification treatment plant mechanical handling equipment for solid waste volume reduction and transportation/disposal packaging; developed performance requirements, specifications, equipment layouts, and safety/hazards evaluations supported by design calculations. More than four years commercial/industrial experience in environmental/waste management, and computer design/drafting. Well versed in AutoCad 2008, MicroStation; MathCad; Corel Products; Microsoft Office; and MS Project 98. Experience with classical finite element analysis codes, ANSYS and ABAQUS. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written/verbal).    julie (at) mdpsi.com   x232

Brian Larsen, BSME Brian Larsen, BSME, has an engineering background in the nuclear and aircraft industries. He has experience in design, analysis, and fabrication. Brian is very skilled in 3D modeling, design layout, and the creation of detailed fabrication/assembly drawings. He has performed secondary stress and thermal fatigue analysis on pressure vessels using ANSYS and he has extensive knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.    brian (at) mdpsi.com  x226

Ken Stoops, BSME Ken Stoops, BSME, has experience from equipment design and analysis to linear applied mechanics. Mr. Stoops has performed structural analysis for seismic qualification of systems and components located throughout the Hanford site. Types of analysis he has performed includes seismic, thermal/heat transfer, pressure vessels, and lifting using modeling and analysis both in ANSYS and hand calculations. Mr. Stoops' background in mechanical engineering, combined with his communications and computer skills , make him a versatile resource to any organization.    ken (at) mdpsi.com   x236

Michael Shipley, BSME Michael Shipley, BSME, has experience from equipment design and analysis to nondestructive testing. Michael has performed structural and thermal analysis for qualification of systems and components. Types of analysis he has performed includes seismic, thermal/heat transfer, and lifting using modeling and analysis both in ANSYS and hand calculations. He has also performed data acquisition, processing and signal conditioning using LabVIEW.    michael (at) mdpsi.com   x230
