Milon Meyer, has over thirty-seven years of seasoned and diversified experience. He has a wide range of experience in solving engineering problems for operating nuclear power plants, turbomachinery, aircraft, and related structures using computerized or manual approaches. Working as a consultant, he has been assigned project responsibility requiring a variety of engineering structural, fluid-mechanical, and heat transfer solutions. Recently, Mr. Meyer assisted DOE's Office of Safety Regulation (OSR) within U.S. Dept of Energy Office of River Protection (ORP) to perform review of low-activity waste (LAW), high-level waste (HLW), and pretreatment waste (PT) facilities. Review required knowledge of Regulatory Criteria and verification that hazards were identifed, accidents analyzed, and applicable standards implemented. As an expert, Mr. Meyer has demonstrated technical experience interfacing with DOE, DOE/RL, DNFSB, and related DOE contractors. milon (at) mdpsi.com x231

George Abatt, Ph.D., has over twenty years engineering experience in the nuclear, aerospace, and aircraft industries. His experience includes the analysis of reinforced concrete waste tanks, seismic evaluation of structures and components in nuclear facilities and operating power plants, and soil-structure interaction analysis of nuclear facilities. He has performed hypothetical drop accident analyses for nuclear shipping containers and material handling systems in nuclear facilities. Dr. Abatt has extensive experience running ABAQUS and ANSYS finite element codes. george (at) mdpsi.com x238

Michael Northey, BSME, has over eighteen years mechanical engineering experience. His experience varies from equipment design and analysis to linear and non-linear applied mechanics. Types of analysis performed include seismic, impact, fluid flow and thermal. Thermal experience includes steady state and transient analysis of spent nuclear fuel shipping casks, transfer casks, storage casks and nuclear waste storage tanks. He has spent the last four years as a consulting engineer specializing in structural analysis using FEA methods. mike (at) mdpsi.com x234

Ed Ruff, MSME, P.E., has over 32 years of Mechanical Engineering experience in design, analysis, and fabrication. He has a broad background in both the aerospace and nuclear industries. Specific highlights include: the Boeing 757 aircraft flap actuation system design, stress and fatigue analysis of landing gear / door hydraulic actuators, design and fabrication of spent nuclear fuel canisters, and nuclear power plant mechanical systems upgrades. Ed was also key in developing an extrusion/cold draw facility for thick-wall zirconium tubes, and for research on the gall-resistance of stainless steel fasteners. Ed has extensive CAD design, project planning, and machine shop experience for fabrication of equipment, vessels, gears, shafts, and other precision mechanical components. edruff (at) mdpsi.com x230
